Service Description

Forest Friends runs year round Tuesdays through Fridays from 9:00am - 4:00pm. Daily cost is $80, billed once per month in advance. We participate in the Affordable Child Care Benefit initiative and are onboarding with the B.C. Childcare Fee Reduction Initiative and fees will be reduced accordingly. There is a one time non refundable registration admin fee of $50.00. Forest Friends is a balance between a place based program and a land based program. It is play-based, Forest school, for preschoolers. Together we explore and learn all about life cycles and our ecosystem, build light shelters and forage for some of natures delights. Daily program includes opening circle, hiking, storytelling, free play, nature art etc. Your child will have lots of fun learning, developing friendships and connecting with the earth! “Children’s experiences with learning,” says The Child and Nature Alliance of Canada, “are defined by their capacity for inspiration, innate sense of exploration, strong desire to learn through play, and their level of engagement with their surroundings.”
